CAN you fall in love with a triangle block? Yup. Like all the time.
Make Modern Triangle members have been falling in love with triangle blocks and freezer paper piecing during February. A month of loooooove and one closer relationship with her seam ripper. I’ll let our members explain below.
In this post I’m sharing some of our members’ makes during February in a slideshow below. Many members are working on the new Aurora BOM while others are fine tuning their freezer paper piecing skills on the Magic Mini quilt. And other members have chosen one of the BOM quilts available in the MMT Club. So you’re going to see a wide variety of works in progress and some fabulous finishes!

After finishing her Magic Mini, Cindy N. posted:
“I finished my Magic Mini this afternoon. This if my first freezer paper quilt! I learned so much, but the biggest challenge was the placement of the colors. What a great technique! I love it! My sister is a tie dye freak…guess who this mini is for.“
Mary C. professed her love:
“Excitement is rising! Just finished Month 7 blocks for my Stargazer quilt and now I just have to cut the Month 8 setting triangles and I can start assembly. The more I do the FPP the more I love it!“
Tracy L. developed a closer relationship with her seam ripper:
“I finally got my month 2 pieces done! My chorus of Heavenly Angels moment came when I realized that the freezer paper was reversed from what I needed to get my blocks correct! Let’s just say I have a VERY CLOSE relationship with my ripper!“
Learning new things is fun and stretches our skills. Working together is better and we’re much better together in our Make Modern Triangles community. Our members’ experience and enthusiasm is LOVE-ly!
Some members say “I love you” with a quilt. Julie W. made the “i Heart Triangles” quilt in her own color palette. Beautiful quilt, Julie W.!

“I made this wallhanging inspired by Rebecca’s i Heart Triangles pattern. The blocks are far from perfect but I didn’t want to waste them. I have learned so much about freezer paper piecing from Rebecca and it’s fun to play with different layouts. I am hooked!“

Erin A., and Bobbi Lu and many more ta-da’d their finished quilt tops! Bobbi Lu’s made a Solstice quilt with an original color palette – she’s a beauty! Congratulations, Bobbi Lu!
Erin’s Sparkler quilt was created with an original color palette, too. We all gushed!
