Members’ Progress = unstoppable!
The thing is, well, it’s not always easy. Sometimes a perfect storm blooms out of NOWHERE: weird triangle math, right and wrong fabric sides and color clashes.
When that happens, you and me become UNSTOPPABLE. Quilts don’t make themselves, amiright?
Meet THE unstoppables
Linda P. proved herself unstoppable with her Cosmos Month 6 blocks.
Oh my, what an afternoon.
Working on my Cosmos. I have one set of triangles that one of the colors is jarring with the rest of the triangles. So I decided to take it apart and change the fabric. Removed the thread from five seams. Cut new pieces, four for each full triangle. Doing six at a time. Sewed the first 12 seams. Went to press-sewed right side to wrong side. 12 seams to unsew. Did that, sewed again. Wrong again. Finally got them right. Six of twelve finished. Four hours. Here’s the new one. The darker yellow piece is what I removed.
Update: the second set of six took 45minutes
Linda, you’ve made a lot of people feel better (me) about quilty storms raining on an afternoon. You wanted block-making bliss.
Which it was, eventually.
Because Linda, YOU ARE UNSTOPPABLE. Congrats on your progress in spite of the seam ripper!
