SPARKLER BOM Medallion TAKES CENTER STAGE
Sparkler BOM Month 5 member makes are here! Month 5 features the center medallion pieced and ready for Month 6.
The center medallions gave Make Modern Triangles members a peak into their quilt’s future.
I remember when their Sparkler BOM designs were visions on a coloring page. As always, we’re celebrating. From coloring page to fabric to center medallion. And I thought I was excited before!
TA-DAAAAAH! More member Quilt finishes
Everyone makes progress in their own ways and in their own time. We might go back and forth between projects, take a break or even start over. Where and when members start and stop is entirely up to them and their whims!
I am so excited about the progress and finishes below – Wildflower BOM and Solstice BOM quilts. Finishing a WIP is a beautiful feeling with a beautiful result! (someday it will be my turn to finish π
Let’s Have a PILLOW FIGHT! Who’s IN?
I invited our Make Modern Triangle Members to take a breather, catch up as much as they wanted and join me in a block play activity called Pillow Fight.
With dozens of modern triangle blocks on our sewing tables and design walls, why not take a break and play with them?
Members were given five design prompts to inspire different block layouts that could work as pillow covers. Some members discovered entirely new quilts to make!
Last, several members shared exciting personal projects that are really spectacular, like Di R.’s 2400-piece English paper pieced quilt. Twenty-four hundred pieces! And Amy N.’s bold art quilt challenge with triangles. Oh my gosh, their creativity and imagination is sending me to my studio right now.
Before you head to your sewing space, check out our ta-daaaaah moments from the month. Thanks for stopping by!
Welcome to our Make Modern Triangles show!
Applause! Wild clapping! Insanely loud whistling!
Hey members! Iβve just released Month 6 β more fun triangle blocks – and I’m looking forward to seeing the blocks all made up in your fabrics. Eeeeeeee!

Amy W., I love your fabric, layout, and color combination. Your block is beautiful. It’s very eye-catching and it’s my favorite of all I’ve seen here. Also, I don’t think you’ll have a problem relaxing. You’ll be closing your eyes when you go to bed so you won’t even be looking at it. LOL
Di R., I would never be able to do what you’ve done! Your quilt is beautiful. I think you’re probably right as to the black binding.
Amy N., Love your bright, kinda wonky, quilt.

I am so impressed (and intimidated) by all of your projects. I don’t think I could tackle such complicated designs and make it to the end. Kudos to you for your efforts. For now I’ll stick to squares and rectangles. Maybe in the future . . . . who knows?
