Life has thrown me a few curve balls recently, which have thrown my blogging life off course. Well, specifically one curve: I have been put on bed rest! Apparently contracting regularly every 5-8 minutes and dilating too early is frowned upon by the medical establishment. (Sometimes I deal with stress through jokes and sarcasm. It can be inappropriate. Sorry about that.)
To be honest, as I shared with one of my Bible study friends, I wasn’t and am not too worried because I feel God’s hand on this pregnancy. For better or worse I know that His plan carries forward. I feel this way mostly because this little baby girl was a surprise baby. Which is kind of silly because God has his hand on all things at all times, but with this pregnancy He is especially revealing Himself to me.
Happily, bed rest seems to be doing well by me. Contractions have calmed way down. I can be bed ridden in my own home, guiltily relying on enjoying the company of friends and family to take care of me and my children while I sit ungussied up, feet propped up.
And while I’ve read 5 books in the past couple of weeks, most of my quilting, crafty, bloggy, cooking, etc. projects have been put on hold. Luckily I do have a hand project I’ve been working on. I’ll show you my progress on Wednesday. It’s coming along nicely, ha!
