Making progress to please our creative selves is fun…and sometimes, hard work. Ripping, rethinking, redoing, repeat. So much goes into making a quilt – color choices, fabrics, values and layouts – If you can’t please YOU, who can you please?! It’s all progress and progress is good, even if it feels like we’re going backwards!
Elana S., a Make Modern Triangles member, has worked and reworked her Echo BOM blocks to please herself. Posting her updates on her block switcheroos and redos, our Triangle Chatter community group has seen her creativity in action. Make sure to watch our very pleasing slideshow below with members’ BOM blocks, including Elana’s journey with Echo BOM.
TADA MOMENT: ANATOMY OF A QUILT FINISH
Whoop! Deborah M. completed her Solstice BOM. What a beauty! Her artistry in colors shows how value changes make magic! Congratulations, Deborah!

Deborah posted her progress on her Facebook page, from the first test block (bottom right corner) to the glorious finish. Gotta post that progress to keep us all motivated to a big finish. Thanks, Deborah!

MAKING PROGRESS AS YOU PLEASE
Are these quilts made with the SAME pattern? Yes, yes, and yes. Month 5 reveals it’s future quilt self as the blocks are adding up. Our members often original interpretations with color palettes and fabrics that they don’t look like my design anymore. Pretty darn cool!

Making progress with Lessons LearnT
Lesley P. has detailed her “lesson learnt” each month, which is so valuable to members, especially new ones. I look forward to knowing what she learns as she generously passes it on. Thanks, Lesley!

Now, it’s time to get inspired! Look no further than our slideshow below, celebrating the progress made this past month.
