A few weeks ago, I showed you my finished Bulletproof quilt top using Alison Glass’ Indigo Handmade collection.
Today, I’m going to show you a mini version.
For QuiltCon, Andover sent 20 or so makers some Lizzy House and Alison Glass fabric to make minis. Each person received a curated bundle to use with instructions to make a mini around 18” square(ish).
Working with the fabrics was such a pleasure. The color palette was so rich in color it seemed luxurious. The deep purples and scintillating pinks struck my eye. It was also nice to see the range completed with the very pale purples. It’s really hard to find such a range of purples! *sob*
For the quilting, I chose hot pink straight-line to emphasis the lines of the pattern. Any time you can use hot pink thread… go for it! My favorite fabric of the bunch is probably that hot pink Flora Fauna by Alison Glass.
Yes! That is snow. For me, my memories are attached to the fabric I’m using at the time. This fabric brings back memories of the excitement of snow, the crispness of the air, and the disappointment of children who have to go to school despite the weather. 🙂
At QuiltCon, the wall turned out extra cute, and rainbow-y (bonus!). What a joy it must have been to arrange all those beauties. Just look at those colors and showcase of creativity. I love the upper right. Can you see the photo sticking out of the envelope? So cute! Can you see the window in the orange diamond? Amazing details.

Thank you to Andover for including me. It was a pleasure. 🙂
