Hi all!
Last Fall, I had the privilege of making a quilt for Lecien’s Quilt Market booth using the Flower Sugar, Fall 2015 collection.
Flower Sugar has long long been one of my favorite fabric lines and seems like a perfect fabric to use in my B.F.F. quilt pattern. The fabric is just so perfect for this vintage inspired quilt pattern.
With sashing, the quilt finishes at 78” square, and the quilt pattern itself offers 4 other sizes. This version shows solid arcs, but there’s also an option to piece the arcs as shown in this version.
Lecien asked that I incorporate solids into the quilt, which is just fine with me! I really had a lot of fun matching the solids to the fabric.
The quilt pattern is available in my shop as a PDF or a paper pattern. If you are a quilt shop and would like to carry my patterns, you can purchase wholesale directly from me or through Brewer, Checker, or United Notions.

My favourite flower are hydrangeas, they were my flowers for my wedding bouquet.
I love Morning Glories. I rarely see them anymore. When I was little, i was amazed at their ability to wake up with the sun and go to sleep at night.

Delphiniums are my favorite summer flower.
We have these beautiful poppies that grow as weeds here on my property. They come in pink red and orange. I can harvest the seeds after they have lost their blooms and dry out. I’m going to throw seeds in places where we don’t have buildings up by the road so everyone can see them!

Your B.F.F. quilt is just so pretty! Using the white as a background really helps to show off those gorgeous fabrics! I need to remember this idea. My favorite summer flower is one that I have in my garden every summer. It re-seeds itself and just blooms continuously in white, pink and purple. It’s called Cleome.

I love sunflowers. We have loads of them in our garden and every time I see them it makes me happy. I’ve shared lots of the volunteers that drop from seeds with my gardening friends.
