Hi guys! It’s ever such a lovely day here. (Not really. It’s rainy!) How are you?
Today, I’m releasing my Vera Quilt Pattern. This pattern is one of my new favorites because it is a quick way to use those collectable larger prints. This is one of the quicker quilts I’ve made in a long long while. And you know what? It was so lovely to have a quick and easy project.
The biggest challenge you might find in this pattern is sewing with triangles and bias piecing. If you’ve never sewn with triangles, no worries! I’ve included my favorite tip to walk you through piecing with triangles. Just a few times using my method, and you’ll be a pro.
My Vera Quilt, using the soon to be released (oh so soon!!! March! March! March!) Mendocino by Heather Ross is a throw size at 56” x 72”. The pattern also includes instructions for making 3 other sizes. And I also added a sidebar with instructions on how to make a mini.
Personally, I had a lot of fun quilting the background of my quilt. I used nested tear drops, bubbles, and swirls. And to make the background pop, I kept the quilting in the Vera blocks simple with straight line quilting.
I’m telling you. So much fun quilting.
And I couldn’t be more tickled that my Vera quilt appears on the cover of Windham’s lookbook. (Wheee!) (And get a load of that Anemone quilt, by Stacey Day! So fantastic.)
