My kids are on Spring Break and we aren’t going anywhere! Hooray for peaceful playtime and bordered bickering. 🙂
Don’t you just love a warm spring breeze? *deep sigh*
This week I’m continuing to work on my feather bed pillow. (Pattern by Anna Maria Horner.)
I started quilting it with a big pic-stitch type hand quilting. I hadn’t intended to, but my only hand quilting needle I have left is a bit too long (the others have been scattered to edges of my house only to be discovered in the future by naked feet, eep!).
Ah, well make do right?
Thanks to my friends on Instagram, I was reassured and will continue quilting it. Will I make it in time for the Pantone Challenge? That remains to be seen.
The binding on Mr. Jones is all sewn and I will be showing the finished product later this week. It’s probably my favorite quilt to date, well at least of the ones I’ve shown on my blog. 😉
I hope you are having a wonderful week. I’m linking up to WIP Wednesday. Thank you for stopping by.
Love your feathers! Yet another tempting pattern! Hope you get it done in time for the Pantone Challenge – I'm afraid I've thoroughly dropped the ball on that one! 🙂
This is beautiful. It's a great idea to do that pattern on a small scale I think since it's so much work! I love the colors and border choice too.
I love all of these! I can't wait to see the feathers in person, it looks amazing. And the corduroy on the back of that qulit was so soft, I hope to see the finished quilt in person too! Beautiful.
Thanks Safieh! Missed you Saturday. 🙁
🙂
Your feathers are lovely! I should probably give that block a try because I'm so intimidated by how complicated it looks. I think the quilting is fab, too, so yay for your Instagram friends! Good luck getting it done in time for the challenge.
Thank you! I don't think I'll be getting it done for the challenge. Ah well.
The feathers look great! And I can't wait to see your finished quilt.
Thank you!
I looooove your feathers!
Thank you!
This is the first I've seen the feather pattern in prints–I really like your version.
Thanks!
Love the pop of yellow social climber with the purple. It's giving me some ideas on what I want to do with the 5 (!) yards of the yellow I bought when it was first reprinted.
Love your feathers….
Have kids home on spring break too. Can they go back to school? Oh and mine are home next week too….
Lovely, lovely feathers!
This is so pretty! I want to make one… Great fabric choices.
