All along, I wanted to hand quilt my “Flower Garden” quilt with perle thread. Unfortunately when I tried earlier this year I was frustrated. Perle was a bit thicker so I wasn’t able to work with it like I could with normal hand sewing thread. Because I wanted to finish-my-project-so-I-could-use-it I settled for no hand quilitng.
Last week I acquired better materials to use with perle – some chenile needles to be exact. Using the right materials, I have found it is much easier to hand quilt.
The results? I love the look. You?
Edited to add a picture of the end result:

Materials: white number 8 perle thread and a 22 chenile needle (though I think a 24 would be even better).

Beautiful! I've never even heard of chenile needles. It's crazy how the right tools make everything easier. Been there. Done that!
