Here are some picture of a quilt I’ve been working on (amongst others!). It’s very small. Each yo-yo is about 2-inches in diameter. I think it’s 9 by 13 yo-yos. If I had to do that over again, I would make it even numbers. Only so that it would be easier to fold. 🙂
I love this tutorial on how to make your own yo-yos. They are very easy. I used 5 fat quarters for the yo-yos and the longer brown strip you see in the first picture is the fabric that will be the backing and the binding. After I made the yo-yos, I whipstiched them together using matching turqoise quilting thread.
Now I’ve got my quilt sandwich made and I just need to quilt it and then bind it. I’ve decided to quilt it using the tying method. You’ll see it when I’m finished. Hopefully soon!
