I don’t like making resolutions. Mostly because it’s January 7th and I’ve already trampled on them. I can’t think of any resolutions that are quilting related that all that concrete. Except to make more quilts!
But, I’ve got some pretty new fabric to work with. There’s nothing better than brand new fabric. It reminds me of a new year. It’s all pretty and packaged – no mistakes. I can imagine what I want it to be. What I want to do with it. It’s almost so perfect that I don’t want to unwrap it and dig in.
But, I don’t want it to just sit on the shelf looking pretty. It’s more than just a pretty face!
So, I took a picture. For posterity. To remember how pretty it used to be. All packaged. Then I unwrapped it and flipped through each of the 42 squares in order to get it good and tousled. No more pretty package and neatly arranged fabrics.
Maybe I should resolve to change my Christmas background to a different background? Such a commitment!
