In considering whether to join the Kaleidoscope quilt along, I decided I’d better make a test block to see if I liked my fabric choices and the pattern.
Below are the fabrics I choose to make my test block. I choose mostly darker values for my kaleidoscope pieces because I am not sure how the lighter values would look. For the background I am planning on grey solids. For the grey, I think I will keep the same value and color of grey, but in different patterns.
And here, is my test block:
The lighter value of blue came out looking better than I expected.
