It’s not a quilt, but curtains do have a way of making a room feel more comfortable and finished, especially after almost a year(!) of being in our new house. Since I despise making curtains so much, it is very nice to have this finish.
I loved these drapes, but didn’t want to shell out that much money for four panels. So I waited. Then Trenna Travis came out with her big stripe fabric. I didn’t wait on that. I cleared out Hawthorne Threads. Yeah, that was me. Sorry.
Each drape goes from the ceiling to skirting the floor.
Each side is hemmed with a blind hem. Such boogers to sew, but such a nice finish.
They drape from clip rings. I love the clip rings. I was skeptical at first afraid the curtains would sag. I made sure to give the top of each drape support by giving each a wide cuffed hem.
Making my own drapes did save a bunch of money but I think I’m done making curtains for awhile.
Back to quilts!
I’m linking up with Finish it Up Friday.

Truthfully,I am not much of a fan of making curtains either;)

yours look better than the expensive ones. i think it's because of the clips versus grommets, which i think makes the purchased ones looks like shower curtains! your blind hem is amazing! i need to learn how to do that.
