Some day I will know how to maintain a garden. It seems for me gardening is a learning process. It is not my natural gift. Learning one type of plant a year is my goal. (This year is a Meyer Lemon tree – don’t die don’t die don’t die!) For now, I am enjoying the gardens my parents have cultivated. My girls really love going out to pick fresh flowers from my mom’s gardens. Who can argue with fresh cut flowers every day?
Over the fourth of July holiday we went out to cut flowers. In between dodging the happy buzzing bees, I snapped a few pictures and cut a few flowers.
Here’s the bundle of flowers we came in with…. can you spot our guests? I only saw the lady bug until I uploaded these pictures on my computer. But there’s another little guy in there I think.
I must still be enjoying the holiday because I picked up some reds and blues on our fabric outing today.
A happy bundle to replace some of the reds I used up in the making of my scrappy trip along.
Someday… I will be able to garden and to have fresh cut flowers in my house. Perhaps by the time I have grand children… 🙂

Gorgeous photos! My husband is the garden expert — he started this hobby back during our first year of marriage, and he's now officially a plant geek. Tropical fruit trees are his specialty, but we're pretty crazy about the tomatoes and grapes he's growing in the back yard right now!
Wonderful photos – if you can capture the flowers in this beautiful manner, you must have green fingers – just need to wake them!
