Well. I’ve been putting it off. That whole back to school thing. We still have quite a while until school starts, four weeks, but as a co-teacher there’s a lot of prep work. I’d been putting it off, not wanting to even think about it. Now that I have taken a break from the whole matter, I feel ready to start tackling my to do list a little at a time.
So. This week means book buying. And it hurts and is a tad intimidating (look at those stacks!). But I am thankful for the blessing of books and the ability to buy them.
I’m also thankful that we don’t cover all these books at one time. That makes the stacks seem less intimidating!
And I’m also thankful for a few minutes of sewing reprieve. Like quilting my wildflower star quilt (it will be a pillow). I just discovered marking quilt tops with a Hera marker. I love it!
And some fun, mindless red patchy sewing. Must have mindless colors to play with and sew together.
I hope you all are having a good week. Do you go back to school soon? I feel like I am done getting things, but I forgot the whole school supply thing. Thankful, thankful, thankful!

Great book piles! I love your wildflower quilt, too. And I recently purchased a Hera marker as well!

Oops, hit publish too soon. I love using the Hera marker for marking quilting lines and not having to worry about marks reappearing, not washing out, or disappearing before you want them to!
We will start school sometime in September when we return from camping. Schools start here after Labour Day and that's when we like to take off and hit the campgrounds etc since it's so quiet :).

Wish you well on teaching and love all the red prints in your quilt top!
