Basting a quilt around these parts is pretty much the same these days as it was those days. Except with less pregnancy and more craft gadgets.
The biggest change to my basting routine is the addition of a Kwik Klip. I’ve been aware of their existence for quite sometime, but always neglected to get one on my trips to the local craft supplieries. But after my girl Sally let me borrow hers at our retreat in May, I was sure sure to buy a Kwik Klip.
It makes the basting chore a bit easier. Well, that and the occasional bite of chocolate.

I also like a grapefruit spoon (one with good deep teeth on the bowl) for the same reason. REALLY saves your fingers. Small, sharp safety pins also help a lot.

I have to say that I personally LOVE basting spray. I buy it on sale and it is so fast and easy.
