I sure do love binding made from selvedges. All my favorites are in there. It’s about as scrappy as you can get.

That is probably the most scrappy binding I have ever seen!!
I always worry when sewing with selveges about the extra thickness to the fabric but this is just so colourful that I don't think I'd mind the extra weight to the fabric.
That looks like so much fun. I have such a hard time saving scraps…but I don't cut my selvages off. There have been too many times I needed just 1/8-1/4 inch of that selvedge to hide in my seam allowances to give me JUST enough fabric for one more piece.
