Although I do enjoy year in review posts, my knee jerk reaction is one of dislike. Maybe it’s just me? I think maybe that stems from when my favorite TV shows would do recap shows. But here I am… doing a recap of 2014.
π
But maybe yearly reviews prove more useful these days? With the quick pace of social media, it is nice to review the happenings of the last 12 months.
2014 was such great year for me. The year started off at a fever pitch as I was working until 2am most nights through March 1st to finish my manuscript text and quilts. I was so blessed to be working on something I love(d), though I do typically prefer an earlier bedtime. Now I’m gearing up for my book to be released, just in time for QuiltCon!
I took another big leap and ventured into self-publishing my patterns (just in time for #vatmess, yah!) and I was able to get my work published in a magazine (still have one more to show!).
It’s not always rainbows and buttercups when it comes to this life thing, so I can appreciate (and be so thankful) for the good times even more. I worked hard and played hard. My kids are great and my husband is great too. I love them. I am really very blessed.
Happy New Years!

Your hard work is certainly paying off. Sure recap posts can be – well….. you know. But this is my first time to your blog and I really enjoyed your post. And am looking forward to seeing where you will be headed this year. You sound completely appreciative of the life that God has led you to. And it is so nice to hear! Happy 2015!
