Today on the Modern Rainbow blog tour, we are lucky enough to have 2 extremely talented artists – Giuseppe Ribaudo and Shannon Brinkley. I’m just showing a glimpse of there talent, so please hop over and explore their work; also they are each giving away a copy of the book, so be sure to enter.
(Note: Giuseppe will be posting later this evening.)
Giuseppe or G is a master at building color palettes and he just debuted his new logo, which seems to perfectly capture him. Every fabric pull the man puts together is just jaw dropping. He knows his color. G shares his creations and photos over on Instagram. I’ve snagged just one pic from his stream, but truly each photo is well shot and teaming with color inspiration.
Next up is Shannon Brinkley, who is also a C&T/Stash Books author. Her book, Scrappy Bits Applique, shows you how to create scrappy, collaged applique using your small scraps. Her book is filled with adorable creations using her scrappy bits technique.
Gosh, I just love this bear quilt coupled with the maple lear/ bear paw quilt block.
I love the way Shannon uses the applique on top of a pieced background. It gives each quilt such a unique texture. Here’s the bear at sunset. Same bear, but completely different look. I hadn’t even noticed the bears are the same silhouette.
I hope you’ll take the time to visit Shannon and G – it’s truly worth the visit.
That’s just about it for the Modern Rainbow blog tour but if you haven’t seen all the posts yet here’s the rest of the schedule.
