Hey ya’ll! I want to stop by and show off a few of the posts from the Stargazer Block of the Month community, because they are fab! Any quilt designer or teacher will tell you that they love to see what others create from their patterns. I LOVE seeing what others create with my designs. And well, I can’t help but show off my Stargazers!
From Month 2:
This month we continued working through Freezer Paper Piecing 101 by making modified Block 20 from Modern Triangle Quilts. So instead of making 16 triangles, we’re making 8 squares. Hoping to save a little bit of time when it comes to assembling our Stargazer quilts.
If you don’t know, you must know! Freezer Paper Piecing is the best way to foundation piece! In my humble opinion. Here’s a tutorial is you’re unfamiliar with the technique. It literally changed my quilt making life! Of course you can grab the PDF of “The Complete Guide to Freezer Paper Piecing” in the sidebar to the right.
Highlights From the Stargazer Community:
Again, we Stargazers… we’re pretty great. I can’t say enough about the Stargazer Community! They rock! So without further ado, let’s see how the Stargazers are progressing!
Judy Lynne is using what she can from her stash. I spy some Tula Pink!
And! Who doesn’t love a good organization tip… Judy Lynne’s created some swatch cards to keep herself organized.
Fur babies welcome! Shelly and her fursistant, Buddy, are working hard on Month 2’s blocks. Some of us work harder than others… hehe!
Abby’s blocks are coming along nicely. The colors are striking! At this point, the stripes aren’t supposed to line up … it makes us nervous… but, again, that’s how it’s supposed to be at this point. But I am kinda digging the stagger in the stripes. It’s a cool visual effect.
Thank you to the Stargazer Community
Hey Stargazers! Thanks for sharing your progress with us! And a special thank you to the pets… give your fur baby a pat for us.
