Hi there!
So a few months ago, I packed up my sewing machines and sewing supplies and my stash and my thread and my patterns and … I packed ALL my sewing cache… to move with my family to Holland. But I set aside a few hand projects, like this one, to work on during the summer while my sewing things, and all my other things, bobbed their way across the Atlantic Ocean.
I’ve been sharing my progress on my Tula Nova using my Panache fabric over on Instagram, so I thought I’d drop by here to show you guys.
Anytime any project hits the ground, Bruce Wayne the Weiner Dog is there to let me know that I should be photographing him. He’s such a baby!
It’s been a nice project to work on leisurely. I’ve really enjoyed playing with the color of Panache and sewing while watching TV on the couch! Guilty pleasure. Except, I’m don’t feel guilty. I’m sure you know how hard moving is!
I’m using the Panache stripes to frame the design and carry movement outward.
This is what I have so far. I beat Bruce Wayne the Weiner Dog to the punch on this pic! He’s literally trotting up to me in this picture, mere inches away from the frame. Ha!

Wow! Looks great. I’ve been away from the blog for a while. What are you doing in Holland? Hope you’re liking it there!

I know! Crazy right? We are liking it here. It’s been an adjustment for sure though!

Is this quilt hard to piece? Did you machine or hand piece? Lots of inset seams?
rebeccabryan says
It’s hand piece, EPP. It is a bit tricky because of the inset seams.
