Hi there!
Well it’s finish time for the Little Ruby Quilt Along with Fat Quarter Shop.
Let’s get right to it! In my version I relied on The Shabby Strawberry fabric. The retro inspired colors and designs dance in the Little Ruby quilt pattern, designed by Camille Roskelley.
For quilting, I chose to do a simple, orange peel based design. I used a circle ruler on my long arm to help guide the circles. This sparse, all over, amount of quilting equals the most cuddle factor, in my opinion.
In other exciting news, this little flowering Mandevilla vine is thriving for me. I love plants that do well under my “care”. Plants that are capable of reaching beyond the rigors of my “attention”. 🙂 I keep forgetting about this little guy, but he keeps on growing! Plus the deer can’t venture up to my deck, well at least they haven’t yet. I wouldn’t put anything past those stinkers. *all the eye rolls*
We’ve had quite a few thunderstorms as of late. We had to rush to get this picture in! I love how the red pops against the green backdrop.
Have you been quilting along? This pattern really comes together rather nicely doesn’t it? There’s also a few ways you can vary the design a bit. You can see some of the variations checking in on the finishes of the other lovely, bloggers taking part. Thanks Fat Quarter Shop for having me!
