Yah! I’m so excited to share this finish with you. Especially, since I wasn’t the one who did all the straight line quilting. 🙂
I made this quilt as part of the blog hop for Angela Pingel’s Quilter’s Mixology book. Such a fun and versatile book.
To make the paint drips and background really stand apart from one another, I basically wanted to use a perpendicular based quilt design. The design I had in mind called for a bunch of straight line quilting. Since at this point I knew we were moving to St. Louis, I was not up to the task of quilting the sucker myself!
At our house in Houston, I did my sewing and quilting in our dining room. And having our house up for sale means no messy sewing room. SIGH! 🙂
So, I described what I wanted to my friend Pam who is a long-armer. And she nailed it! I couldn’t be happier with the quilting. She even added three faux spots in the background.
So fun! Best part, was that all I had left to do was bind it and done. Thankfully, I can manage binding a quilt in our transient environ.
That’s that! So happy to have this one finished.
I’ll be linking this finish up to Finish It Up Friday with Crazy Mom Quilts.
