This week, the fun really begins as we lay out all of our blocks and squares for the Boos and Ghouls Quilt Along.
I had intended to show you my 2 finished mini quilt tops, but I’ve been struck down by an annoying cold. (I have too much to do to be sick! Agh!) So please forgive me as I will mostly be showing computer rendered graphics. *sniff* Hopefully I can use my own link up to show you my quilt tops later this week. 😉
First, lay out your blocks, made last week, and squares on a design surface. I’m starting with the little “Ghoul” block.
Then start by sewing the squares and blocks together into rows. Press the seams to alternating sides. Press odd rows to the right; press even rows to the left.
Then sew the rows together to make your little “Ghoul” block. Press seams open or to one side.
So the same thing for the “Boo” ghost block. Lay out your squares until you are happy. Then sew the squares together into rows. Press rows in alternate directions (Press odd rows to the right, press even rows to the left.)
Then sew the rows together to make your “Boo” ghost block. Press all the seams to one side or press them open.
I can’t wait to see your finished blocks! (And mine for that matter, thanks for understanding! I think this is the “back to school” cold. )

Thanks for the cute tutorial! I finished mine (up to this point). I don't have an active blog so I can't link up a pic, but I did post a pic on Instagram. I'm a private user, so you may not be able to see it, but if you'd like to check it out, request to follow me (kenzimhardy).
