Ok, it is still technically Wednesday for 43 more minutes. I was sitting here, about to start this WIP blog post with something about school being over and getting used to new summer routines. My routine is so off I got the day wrong.
Ah, it must be summer.
This week finds me sewing drapes. I despise sewing drapes. But I have half of the 4 curtain panels finished – the half with blind hems. So the hard part is over right?
And for fun, I’ve started on a new trivet for my new kitchen, which is finished except for a few small details. The book is Patchwork Please by the adorable Ayumi.
I hope your Wednesday was a good one! Has your summer started? Or is it winter where you are?

Gorgeous trivet! I need to do something with my stash of 30's repro fabrics – this is so cute! It's winter where I am and this is the first properly cold week we've had. I'm heading home to sit in front of the fire with my cats.

Boo for the curtains and yay for the trivet!

Love your trivet! I can't wait to make something from that book!

I've only sewn small curtains and I didn't like that ~ drapes, guess you've got to have them.
Love the trivet ~ I've got to get going on some of the projects from Ayumi's book ~ everything is so cute!
You'd think it's winter here in Portland, OR. We've been having quite cool wet weather.

That trivet is just adorable! I am very impressed with your curtain sewing. I have some dining room curtains that have needed sewing for um…2 years now at my house. You seem to be on a roll; want another project? ๐
