I get to go to QuiltCon this year thanks to the awesomeness of my husband
and it’s proximity (I’m in Houston).
The modern quilt guild is hosting a linky party for people going to get to know each other. So, this is my “getting to know you” post.
Five Facts about me:
1) I used to run track and field in college. I was a jumper. But I’m out of shape now. I’d like to run like the wind again. Hopefully sooner rather than later.
2) Having four children (almost 7!, 4 and a half, 2, and 9 months) has been just what I needed. So far I’ve suffered tremendous embarrassment and blows to my pride. But I feel like I am a better person for it and feel God working in my life to draw me closer to him. It’s hard and intense, I’m generally dirtier and sometimes bossy. But I’m more compassionate towards other people and trust in God more. I have to, there’s no way I can do this myself.
3) So for obvs I’m a Chistian and I lean heavily (I’m deeply flawed) on Jesus.
4) I’m a crier. If you cry, I cry. If you have something great going on, I cry. If you kids are cute, I cry. Hug me, I’m a crier. I y won’t be crying, but just don’t get me going.
5) I can’t say that I have a favorite color, because I love them all. For that matter, it’s hard for me to commit to a favorite anything. I do love chocolate though.
Hope to see you there!
I’ll be the one shouting, “Freedom!” haha!

Beautiful picture, Becca! Wish I were going, maybe next year. #4 is totally me. I can cry if I hear the word cry. If I see someone cry then I'm sobbing right with them.
Miss Sews-it-all says
Hi Becca, nice to meet you, hope to see you at QuiltCon!
Nathalie says
Nice to meet you. I, too, am a crier. I once had to cry in a play and I said, "I can do that, I am just not sure I can turn it off, afterwards." LOL
