When I tucked my 4 year old daughter in bed after she received her rainbow puppy, she in her preschool like way demanded a pony sea horse.
I thought that was an interesting idea. Seahorses are such bizarre and magical creatures. They are truly out of a faerie tale.
So the other night, I sat down and sketched out some seahorseys.

Unfortunately for her… the first sea horsey seems destined for her baby sister.
A stuffed seahorse, while worthy, warrants more thought!

Holy cow, Becca — you're an artist too?? This is fantastic! Do you have any training or does this all come naturally?

oooh, can't wait to see! (and I am very impressed by your drawing skillz!)

What a lovely drawing – wouldn't it make a beautiful embroidery.

Great drawings. I agree those would make great embroidery patterns.
As for a stuffed toy pattern, maybe this will help: http://www.futuregirl.com/craft_blog/2007/10/seahorse-family-stuffies-pattern-is.aspx
That pattern might help you build your own pattern (note: I'm not affiliated with that blog at all–I just found it while looking for an octopus pattern, which I did find and it was a great pattern).

Great drawings!! I have a seahorse pattern. Megan saw it over the weekend and asked me to make one for her. Must be something about preschoolers & sea horses 🙂

You are so talented, the drawings are beautiful! The commenters above are right, you could totally release this as an embroidery pattern.
