Hi there!
I got the itch to make something to wear. Choosing the Tova shirt from Wiksten,
I set out with some prized, silky voile.
And voila!
I didn’t make any changes to this first Tova. I did use french seams, which was an added challenge.
But it made for a nice finish inside.
I thought the voile would be perfect in this warm and sticky climate.
And it would be, but right as I finished it up, we got a chilly snap.
So I hurried off to a fabric chain store and bought some cozy purple flannel.
And voila!
This purple shirt is more like a blanket shirt and I love it! It was more challenging to work with as it was thick. I cut the placket on the bias. (I love plaid on bias!) And I customized the length of the sleeves so that they make me look slothly fit comfortably.
I found Kerry’s Tova Sew-a-long very helpful. I already have the itch to make more!
I hope you are having a good week.

Lovley results and great choices, I wear my voile Tova a lot but I could do with a flannel weight one right now in the chilly weather!

You're amazing, Becca! I've not been brave enough to try making clothes yet — that's my sister's department… π

Both are super cute & I'm sure you look super cute in them! Even Busy Moms need to make something for themselves from time to time. π
