My mom taught me how to sew and I didn’t appreciate it. Well let’s say I took it for granted. That is until I started (trying) to teach my daughters to sew. I know now that it takes TRUE motherly love for a mom to sacrifice her precious sewing time, her favorite fabrics, and her favorite tools to teach her daughter to sew.
Behold, my daughters’ (ages 6 and 4) first sewing project!
Thanks mom! Love you!

My Grandma taught me, it took me forever to actually use that skill… I suppose it is all about being exposed to it!

They are so cool! I tried to teach my Mum some computer stuff and it gave me a nose bleed, is that the same thing? ๐

What a great job they did! And you are so right – I have to admit to handing over bits of my favourite fabric with gritted teeth sometimes:-) But it's so worth it. My mum did it for me, and I'm doing it for them!

My Granny taught me to sew, knit, crochet after she taught me to clean and cook. Very Victorian.
