Joining a bee has been a quilty desire of mine for a while, but I’ve been putting off joining one because of lack of time and a scootch of intimidation. There are a lot of lovely bees and collaborative quilts out there! Naturally an opportunity came up when it was least convenient (on bed rest, newborn, and moving, yawn…) and I am thrilled to be a part of the “Think outside the Block” bee.
Using this impossibly small flowers found in my backyard as inspiration, (Oops, I thought it was yellow!?)
I took these fabrics sent by Michelle (The yellow is my contribution. I like yellow better anyways!)
And made her two blocks
Block 1:
Block 2:
I can’t wait to see how Michelle mashes all the blocks together.
