Except that I’m not cooking. Other people are doing that for me! And I am EVER so thankful. I think I’m enjoying bed rest. Don’t tell my poor mother who is working so hard taking on most of my chores and duties. And she reads here… whoops. (Hi Mom! Thanks Mom!)
Anyways, baby girl is still cooking, which is fantastic. And I’m chugging right along with my hand projects.
I’ve finished baby girl’s quilt. I added a large border with the intention of cutting scallops in it. It needs a name. But I think the quilt’s name depends on baby girls name. And I’m not willing to share that yet! 🙂

My mom is going to baste it and then I will set about to hand quilt it. Yah! (?)
Also, I’ve started a new hand project: smocking a pair of blue gingham dresses for my older girls.
Smocking in progress |
I intended these to be for Easter, but there was a terribly irritating snafu with a retailer that may or may not be named. I’m still negotiating with them… Needless to say, I doubt I’ll be finished with them by Easter. But then again, I won’t be at church to enjoy my girls in their dresses anyhow.
I find the smocking to be a new challenge. It’s hard but not impossible. So far I like them. Have you tried smocking anything? I’d like to see any “modern” mom’s takes on smocking.
Linking up once again with Lee at Freshly Pieced.
Thanks for stopping by!
🙂
