Thanks ya’ll!

The blogesses I’m awarding the Liebster to are as follows:
1) Alexis – Alexis isn’t a prolific blogger (I like that) but in this case less is more. Meaning, I love everything she puts out there. π And she’s also got great shoes. π I like shoes. Alexis has got an awesome sense of negative space and uses it well in her quilts. I also love her simple but punchy color selection. I love her “Rails and Bars” quilt.
2) Melinda – Melinda has great paper pieced blocks. They are both original and well done. I love love love her “painting the roses red” block. Melinda is working her way steadily (unlike me!) through the Farmer’s Wife. Each one of her blocks is an example of how well she pairs fabrics together. Her choices exemplify greatness in choosing fabrics from different fabric lines. Plus? She knits! I don’t but I just want MadelineTosh yarn to pet. I think everyone can understand that. Ha!
3) Jacey – A fellow HMQGuilder. Jacey is getting married (mawwaige…) very soon and I love how she finds an outlet in crafting. (Sound familiar? A running theme round these parts.) In reading Jacey’s blog I have a window to new trends in the sewing world like chevrons and yellow and navy together. Her cat is pretty adorable, too. I love Jacey’s use of non-traditional neutrals in her quilts as you can see in her Swoon blocks. She also knits too, taking away my excuse of “I live in Houston, it’s too hot to knit anyway that’s why I don’t knit” excuse.
4) Sara I’m pretty sure Sara may have more than 200 followers or whatever. But she is awesomeness. I used to live in St. Louis and go to the same church as Sara, although I don’t think I’ve actually met her. Somehow I found her blog; I’m guessing through mutual friends. Sara seems to be moving away from a crafty focus, though girl’s got skillz. Sara is hilarious and has a gift for relating complex theological concepts to the everyday minutiae us housewives wade through. She’s a daily read for me.
5) aksherry at Knit?Sew? She apparently has a pet moose, which is way cooler than my pet dog. Ok, fine it’s probably not a pet but just a humble backyard visitor. Still, way cooler than the birds, squirrels and cockroaches *shudder* that visit me. And goodness gracious she knits too! She knits hexagons! She makes laundry soap and bakes!
So, go and visit these gals and you will be laugh and be inspired.
Again, thank you to Tink’s Mom, Ylva, and Diane for your kind words.
