Wanting a bold, but not red-orange quilt, I chose a plum, berry (fine, purple!) palette – those are Kona Berry and Cerise. For the background color, instead of a white, I chose a very light peach and pink (Kona Pale Flesh and Pearl Pink). That will decrease the contrast between the foreground and background, and hopefully they will still read white.
The top fabric will be the backing fabric. (Look at that, I’ve planned ahead!)
